DOH Healthy Pilipinas
Todo Pito: Seven Healthy Habits na Go na Go
Nationwide Digital Campaign (Static + Motion Graphics)
Public Health / Government Communications
February to April 2021
My Role: Graphic Designer & Motion Graphics Editor
Objective: Create clear, engaging static and animated materials to help DOH communicate the Seven Healthy Habits nationwide and make essential wellness practices easy for Filipinos to understand and adopt.
“Animating a Health Movement for Millions”
The Department of Health launched Healthy Pilipinas, a nationwide initiative promoting the “Seven Healthy Habits na Go na Go!” Their goal: communicate essential wellness behaviors to Filipinos through accessible, engaging digital content during a time when public health messaging mattered most.
As the project’s Multimedia Designer, I was tasked with creating the motion graphics, digital illustrations, and static visuals that would bring this campaign to life. The pressure was real, our work needed to be clear, culturally grounded, and compelling enough to cut through the noise of social media and reach households across the country.
The main challenge was producing animations that matched DOH’s visual direction while remaining intuitive for a general audience. Working remotely as a freelancer added another layer of complexity, requiring seamless alignment with their internal team despite not being embedded in their daily workflow.

Insights: “Make Health Feel Simple, Visual, and Doable”
The campaign’s strength relied on one insight: people remember health habits better when the visuals feel friendly, relatable, and easy to follow.
Key strategies included:
-
Designing smooth, dynamic animations that captured attention quickly
-
Using illustrations and iconography to break down complex health messages
-
Maintaining a tone that felt encouraging, non-intimidating, and culturally familiar
-
Ensuring every visual element reinforced the central idea: healthy habits are achievable for every Filipino
Despite creative limitations from working off-site, alignment with the DOH team remained strong, and the final outputs reflected a unified message with nationwide reach.

Execution: “Turning Public Health Guidelines Into Storytelling”
The execution focused on creating digital content that could live anywhere Filipinos consumed information.
Key Deliverables:
• A full motion graphics intro for the campaign
• Animated explainer videos breaking down each of the seven healthy habits
• Visual assets blending illustration, photography, and icon systems consistent with DOH branding
The animation style was intentionally clean and fluid, helping viewers absorb information quickly while keeping the tone energetic and positive. All content was optimized for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, websites, and Viber community channels, ensuring maximum visibility.

Results: “A National Message with Real Reach”
The campaign reached hundreds of thousands of Filipinos, successfully spreading DOH’s health messages across multiple digital platforms. The content was widely shared, easily understood, and integrated into various online communities.
For me, this project was a career milestone, seeing my motion graphics published on a national scale, approved by a government institution, and used to educate the public during a critical moment was deeply meaningful. It proved that design and animation can play a powerful role in public service and collective well-being.
