 Objective:  To design an immersive metaverse experience that positions Recruitday as a trusted career sidekick, guiding aspiring IT professionals from curiosity to opportunity.

“A Virtual-First Recruitment Experience”

Recruitday Metaverse: Launch Day was a virtual-first recruitment event designed to help aspiring professionals take their first real step into the IT industry, inside the metaverse.

Built around Recruitday’s promise as “Your Career Sidekick,” the event combined career guidance, one-on-one recruiter access, and educational resources in an immersive digital environment. It targeted young professionals and career switchers curious about tech but unsure where to begin.

As the lead Visual Designer, I led the creative direction and production of the entire experience, ensuring every asset supported the developers building the metaverse, the marketers promoting the event, and the recruiters guiding candidates. The challenge was scale and precision: everything had to feel seamless, human, and on-brand, while launching on time across multiple teams and platforms.

 Insights & Strategy:  “Everyone Needs a Career Sidekick”

Research and team workshops revealed a key insight:

Most IT career seekers aren’t just looking for jobs, they’re looking for guidance, clarity, and reassurance.

Recruitday’s role wasn’t to act as a gatekeeper, but as a support system. That insight shaped the entire experience. The metaverse was designed to feel personal despite being digital, allowing participants to navigate freely, speak one-on-one with recruiters, and access curated learning materials at every stage.

The strategy was simple but powerful:

Make the candidate the hero, and Recruitday the trusted sidekick guiding the journey.

From the lobby onboarding to booth interactions, every touchpoint reinforced support, approachability, and momentum toward an IT career.

 Execution:  “Designing the Experience Layer”

Recruitday’s bold visual identity, anchored in neon green, teal, and tech-forward gradients, became the foundation of the metaverse environment. Flat-meets-futuristic illustrations and modular layouts ensured clarity inside a highly interactive space.

Key deliverables included:

  • Metaverse environment visuals and UI assets

  • Event signages, infographics, and digital brochures

  • Social media and video promotions

  • Staff kits (IDs, shirts) and participant giveaways

Working within a three-month timeline, I collaborated closely with recruiters, developers, and marketers to keep all outputs aligned and production-ready. Every asset was designed to support the Big Idea: Recruitday as the career sidekick, present, helpful, and always one step ahead.

 Results:  “From Virtual Event to Real Hires”

The campaign delivered strong results across all phases:

  • Hundreds of participants attended the Metaverse Launch Day

  • Recruiters generated a large pool of qualified IT candidates

  • Partner employers gained immediate hiring prospects

The success of the launch led to a second metaverse event, this time tailored for STI college students, which again drew hundreds of participants, helping early-stage talent confidently enter the IT pipeline.

Beyond numbers, the biggest impact was clarity: candidates left knowing their next step, and Recruitday strengthened its position as a true career partner.
