Recruitday
Recruitday Home Page Redesign
UI/UX Refresh Project
Recruitment Industry
March 2022 to June 2022
My Role: Visual Designer
Collaborators: Monic Gosingtian - Marketing Head
Objective: To redesign Recruitday’s homepage into a clear, supportive, and conversion-focused experience for IT job seekers, without sacrificing usability or brand integrity.
“Behind every scroll was a question: Is this the right next step for my career?”
Recruitday set out to refresh its homepage, not to look flashier, but to work harder.
This project focused on redesigning the website homepage to clearly communicate Recruitday’s recruitment services, job opportunities, and career support offerings, especially for IT professionals navigating a competitive job market.
I collaborated closely with the Marketing Head, CEO, and in-house developer to enhance the existing site without disrupting its structure. The challenge was subtle but high-stakes: improve clarity, usability, and conversion while staying true to the brand’s function-first philosophy.
As the Visual Designer, my role was to translate business priorities into a clean, intuitive interface, one that guided job seekers confidently from curiosity to action.

Insights & Strategy: “The Sidekick Mindset”
Recruitday’s audience was clear: IT job seekers looking for direction, not noise.
The guiding insight came directly from the brand’s positioning:
“Your tech career sidekick.”
Instead of presenting Recruitday as a traditional recruiter, we framed the brand as a support system, a reliable companion throughout a candidate’s career journey. The homepage needed to reinforce that idea visually and structurally.
The strategy centered on:
-
A modern, tech-forward look without unnecessary flair
-
Clear pathways to jobs, learning resources, and career support
-
A tone that felt helpful, reassuring, and non-intimidating
The goal was alignment: every design decision had to serve both user confidence and business clarity.

WIP: Figma design assets for the home page refresh project.
Execution: “If Recruitday was the sidekick, the job seeker was always the hero.”
The homepage was designed in Figma, with iterative feedback from stakeholders to ensure alignment across design, development, and business goals.
The final structure followed a deliberate user journey:
-
Quick introduction to Recruitday’s role and value
-
Job opportunities tailored to IT professionals
-
Support services—courses, events, and articles
-
A soft but clear call-to-action: free consultation
This flow ensured visitors were informed before being asked to act, reducing friction and making the next step feel accessible rather than overwhelming. Aesthetic restraint was intentional; clarity and usability led every decision.

Results: “A homepage built to support, not overwhelm.”
The redesigned homepage improved how visitors understood Recruitday’s offerings, helping job seekers engage more meaningfully with available roles and resources. This clarity supported Recruitday’s larger goal: better-prepared candidates and stronger matches for employers.
Beyond performance, the project strengthened trust across teams (aided the recruitment team the most) and led to continued collaborations, a meaningful win that reflected the effectiveness of both the process and the outcome.
